Braven has over 25 years of experience as an expert brand strategist, creative director,
design practitioner and executive.
He has held executive positions in design and marketing at both pre-seed and seed-stage startups and at midsize companies with annual revenues ranging from $ 200M to $500M.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Braven started his career in the late nineties at Art Center, where he dropped out after being hired as a designer for Atlarge Design Lab. It was there that he was immersed in the various subcultures that gave rise to streetwear. Working with brands like Freshjive, Universal Music, DUB, Counter Culture, DC, Seven Denim and Beastie Boys shaped his style and design aesthetic.
In 2005, he went back to school, this time for business. During his time studying leadership and business at Biola University, he launched La Visual with a simple vision: to build a design agency that focused on better brand identity for Entertainment, Beauty, Fashion and Tech. La Visual was quickly established as a reputable branding agency, producing award-winning work for brands like Citysearch, Sony Pictures, FOX, Yahoo!, JAFRA Cosmetics, MiraBella, Band of Outsiders and Kelly Wearstler.
As a five-time Founder and Branding Expert, Braven holds over 30 awards for his branding and design work as a designer and Creative Director.
Most notably, his team was a part of the first-ever drag-and-drop eCommerce store for the men’s fashion brand Band of Outsiders.
As an entrepreneur, he has designed and monetized several of his own SaaS products. Most notably, those incubated in-house at La Visual, and later acquired by Discovery Communications and JAFRA Cosmetics.
